Norland College was founded in 1892 by Emily Ward, who was concerned about the low standards of childcare in the UK. She believed that by properly training nannies, children would be well cared for and given a better start in life.
The college initially operated in a small house in London. However, as demand grew, it moved to its current location in Bath in 1912. Since then, Norland College has expanded and developed into a leading provider of childcareeducation , offering a wide range of courses to students from all over the world.
Norland College offers a number of programmes of study, including a BA (Hons) in Early Years Development and Learning, a Diploma in Child Care and Education and a Foundation Course in Early Childhood Education.
