According to Now News , on the evening of October 2, at the Liuyang River scenic area (Hunan province), a night performance called "October - the sound of blooming flowers" gathered hundreds of drones flying up at the same time, creating a lighting effect combined with fireworks in the sky.

However, while the drones were changing formation, the series of fireworks suddenly fell like "fairies scattering flowers", causing many sparks to fly straight into the hillside and areas with dry vegetation, causing local fires.

Witnesses at the scene said they heard people screaming “Fire!” and the area quickly became chaotic. Many people quickly held up chairs to cover their heads or ran away to avoid the sparks, some even narrowly avoiding being hit by falling fireworks.

The management board of the scenic spot confirmed to Now News that the fire broke out on the evening of October 2 but was discovered and extinguished by security forces in time. The fire did not spread and there were no casualties.

The local fire department said the cause was a falling drone firework that ignited dry grass, and the incident was dealt with overnight. Firefighters were on standby to ensure the safety of the following performances.
