Urgently distribute rice to support people to overcome flood consequences

To be proactive in receiving and promptly organizing the distribution of 2,000 tons of rice after the Prime Minister's decision to issue the rice, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Health (the presiding agency) to be responsible for presiding over all the reception work and developing a rice distribution plan.

Regarding the reception work, proactively coordinate closely with the State Reserve Department of Region XII and the Department of Finance to promptly determine and agree on the time, location and process of receiving 2,000 tons of rice support in accordance with current regulations.

Authorities provide necessities to people isolated by storms and floods in Dray Bhang commune.

Along with that, urgently develop a detailed plan to distribute rice to affected people, ensuring the principles: timely, public, transparent and to the right priority subjects (households with heavy damage, poor households, isolated households...).

The plan must clearly identify the amount of distribution for each commune and ward based on damage statistics confirmed by localities and competent authorities. Regularly report on the progress of receiving and distributing to the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Finance for timely monitoring and direction.

The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Finance to closely coordinate with the Department of Health and the State Reserve Department of Region XII in controlling the quantity and quality of rice when receiving and promptly advising on arising financial issues.

The People's Committees of communes and wards proactively direct specialized departments to closely coordinate with the Department of Health to organize rice receiving and distribution points in the locality. Absolutely ensure security, order and safety against epidemics during the process of distributing rice to the people.
