Khanh Hoa plants trees to celebrate 80 years of Agriculture and Environment sector

Khanh Hoa Department of Agriculture and Environment launched the planting of 300 rosewood trees in response to the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the Agriculture and Environment sector and the 1 billion tree program.

On the morning of November 15, at sub-area 70, belonging to the Ninh Hoa - Van Ninh Protective Forest Management Board, Tay Ninh Hoa commune, Khanh Hoa province, there was a bustling tree planting launching ceremony organized by the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa.

This activity is part of the peak week celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Agriculture and Environment (November 14, 1945 - November 14, 2025), and is also a practical action in response to the Prime Minister 's call to "Plant one billion new trees in the period 2021 - 2025".

The event attracted a large number of delegates and participants, including leaders of the Department, representatives of specialized departments and units under the Department, and 50 Youth Union members of the Department in green shirts.

With enthusiasm, delegates and union members and youth planted trees together, contributing to concretizing the work of protecting and developing local forests.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Agriculture and Environment emphasized: After 8 decades of construction and development, the industry has always maintained its position as an important pillar, contributing to ensuring economic development, social stability, maintaining food security and environmental protection, making an important contribution to the overall achievements of the country. Khanh Hoa Department of Agriculture and Environment has continuously grown, matured and made positive contributions to the development of the province.

"Today's tree planting activities have a double meaning, both demonstrating the industry's characteristics associated with nature and sustainable development, and being consistent with President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on educating labor ethics and raising people's sense of responsibility in protecting the ecological environment," Mr. Hieu said.

He also affirmed that the tree planting movement has become a good tradition of the industry, bringing many practical values ​​in nature conservation, biodiversity, sustainable socio-economic development, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and effectively responding to climate change.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Department, Mr. Hieu requested the affiliated agencies and units and called on all party members, civil servants, public employees, workers in the industry, and union members and youth to continue to enthusiastically participate in similar meaningful activities, towards the goal of building a green, safe, fast-growing and sustainable Vietnam.
