Inauguration of the Martyrs' Church and Barracks of the 584th Martyrs' Remains Search and Collection Team in Savannakhet Province

In Ban Tho, Pha Lan Xay district, Savannakhet province (Laos), the Military Command of Quang Tri province in coordination with the Military Command of Savannakhet province recently held the inauguration ceremony of the Martyrs' Church and the Barracks of the Team for Searching and Collecting the Remains of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Experts Who Died in Laos (Team 584).

Implementing Resolution No. 58 dated October 18, 2022 of the People's Council of Quang Tri province on approving the investment policy for the construction of the Martyrs' Church and Barracks of Team 584 (phase 1) in Savannakhet province, after more than 1 year of construction, with the attention, help and close coordination of the leaders of the Party Committee, the government of Savannakhet province, Pha Lan Xay district and local people, the project was completed ensuring the quality and progress set out.

The project is funded from the local budget with a total cost of 12.89 billion VND, including the following items: 2-storey housing and working house; dining room, kitchen; 1-storey martyrs' church with an area of ​​100 ^m2 ; well, water tank; technical infrastructure system, auxiliary items and necessary equipment for the living and working of officers and soldiers of Team 584.

The completed project has important significance, demonstrating the dedication, affection and responsibility of the leaders, Party committees and authorities of the two provinces of Quang Tri - Savannakhet in general, the Military Commands of the two provinces in particular, as well as the wishes of the martyrs' relatives and the people, to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the noble international cause, deeply demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source"; at the same time, ensuring good barracks for Team 584 during the process of carrying out the task of searching for and collecting the martyrs' remains in Laos.
