Survey on health insurance work in the new situation in Vi Thuy district

(HG) - A working delegation of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee has just come to survey the results of 15 years of implementing Directive No. 38, dated September 7, 2009 of the Central Party Secretariat, 10th tenure, on promoting health insurance work in the new situation in Vi Thuy district.

In recent times, the role and responsibility in directing and implementing the health insurance policy of the Party Committees and authorities at all levels in the district have been raised and become more effective. In particular, through propaganda and dissemination, people's awareness and responsibility, especially those participating in family health insurance, have changed positively and are increasingly more aware of the superior nature, humanistic values, and practical benefits of the health insurance policy for themselves, their families, and the whole society. By the end of 2023, the whole district had over 84,800 people participating in health insurance, reaching a district-wide coverage rate of 94.41%, an increase of over 70% compared to 2009. However, the limitation of the district is that the rate of health insurance participants is not yet sustainable, and the situation of prolonged health insurance arrears still occurs in some enterprises.

Through the inspection, the survey team requested the political system from the district to the grassroots level of Vi Thuy to continue to enhance the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, to increase the coverage rate of universal health insurance in the area and must be sustainable. In particular, it is important to perform well the work of medical examination and treatment and the attitude of serving patients must be attentive, dedicated and thoughtful. Pay attention to directing the replication of good practices and effective models related to health insurance work in localities; effectively apply the mechanisms and support policies of the Provincial People's Council related to health insurance work for people in the area.
