The closing art program of Hue Festival Week with 10 performances clearly shows the fusion between tradition and modernity. Affirming Hue as a city of multicultural colors, a festival city of the country and the world.

Opening the closing program, hundreds of artists and actors from Hue presented the audience with a dance performance called Hue - the festival city, as if to reaffirm the brand of the city on the gentle Huong River.

A little quieter but no less full of Hue's character, singer Khanh Van sent to the "farewell" night the song " Love song far away from Hue" .

From afar, the sound of gentle laughter echoes on the way home/ Flowers bloom beautifully, smiling lips are forever remembered...

Singer Khanh Van's lyrics are like the lingering sentiments of the people of the ancient capital sent to friends from far away, artists, and tourists coming to Hue to attend this year's festival.

In response to the kindness of Hue, Korean Nanta drum artists and Peking opera artists from Zhejiang (China) performed their best performances.

Art troupes from Korea, China, Belgium, Canada, France, etc. have contributed significantly to creating an international art festival, leaving a deep impression on the hearts of people and tourists in Hue.

Not only is it home to the Perfume River and the tranquil Ngu Mountain, the youthful energy also contributes to the great success of Hue Festival Week 2024.

At the show, young people performed vibrant hip hop acts. In particular, circus performers from the Vietnam Circus Federation presented the audience with skillful circus acts.

At the end of the program, hundreds of actors, artists, and singers sang the song Hue - Festival City to say goodbye and promise to return to Hue Festival Week 2025.

Hue Festival: End to begin

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, said that Hue Festival Week 2024 has gathered the quintessence of more than 30 art units from regions of Vietnam and 7 countries around the world .

With passion and dedication to serving the public, combined with acting talent, the artists and actors brought the audience dozens of art performances and response activities, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere.

The convergence of cultures at Hue Festival Week 2024 has brought new vitality to the ancient capital, affirming its position as a typical festival city of Vietnam.

"Tonight's event concludes a vibrant festival week, as we begin a series of art events during the fall and winter festivals, demonstrating the consistent, continuous spirit of Hue Festival 2024.

This is also a thank you to friends near and far who have come to the ancient capital, to join in the moments of the full atmosphere of Hue Festival Week," said Mr. Binh.

Hue Festival Week 2024 brings bumper tourism revenue

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province, said that during the Hue Festival Week 2024, there were more than 101,000 tourists coming to Hue for sightseeing and tourism.

Accordingly, there were 19,190 international visitors and 81,810 domestic visitors to Hue during the period from June 7 to 12. Tourism revenue was estimated at 159 billion VND. There were 49,000 overnight guests, of which international visitors were estimated at 9,310 and domestic visitors were 39,690. The average occupancy rate at hotels was 70%.
