Extreme weather and warnings from the numbers
With a dense terrain of rivers, streams, lakes and more than 3,200km of coastline, Vietnam is a country that is often directly affected by natural disasters. In recent years, prolonged heavy rains, flash floods and landslides are no longer unusual phenomena, but are gradually becoming the “new normal” in the country’s climate picture.
According to Mr. Hoang Duc Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Hydrometeorology, in the first 9 months of 2025 alone, natural disasters caused about 35,000 billion VND in damage, with 6 major storms making landfall causing serious consequences in terms of human lives and property. Landslides on river banks, coastal areas, reservoirs... alone have forced hundreds of households to evacuate urgently, and many dykes, roads and residential areas have been seriously threatened.

These figures are a clear warning about the urgency of investing in infrastructure to prevent landslides, especially in riverside and coastal areas - where daily erosion can sweep away not only land, but also people's livelihoods and lives.
From “manual dikes” to modern-day “concrete shields” of Southern Europe
In fact, Vietnam is one of the countries that developed dike infrastructure very early due to its tropical climate, close to the sea, and the majority of people are still attached to rice cultivation along the downstream basins of major rivers in East Asia and Southeast Asia.
As early as the 10th century, after the end of the period of Chinese domination, Ngo Quyen ordered people to build the first dikes on the Red River. At this time, the dikes were mainly built with earth and boulders, with human strength fighting against the force of nature.
Nowadays, with modern material science and stronger production capacity, reinforced concrete revetment and sheet pile constructions are becoming a solid and sustainable solution. Pioneering in this field, Chau Au Nam (AMACCAO Group) has made an important contribution to building solid “defense lines” across the country.
With 30 years of experience in manufacturing precast concrete components, Chau Au Nam currently has 11 large-scale factories, operating more than 40 synchronized production lines according to European standards. With a team of highly skilled engineers and experienced international experts, this enterprise can meet large volume orders, urgent schedules and the most stringent technical requirements.

AMACCAO brand products of Chau Au Nam are diverse from common infrastructure components such as sewer pipes, manholes, drainage ditches, to special products serving riverside and coastal works, in which the most prominent are the embankment system, SW prestressed reinforced concrete sheet piles, and PP (Polypropylene) fiber reinforced grass planting panels - an exclusive solution of the enterprise to help green the surface, bringing a natural harmonious landscape.
Considered a “strategic weapon” in the Southern European concrete ecosystem, each revetment panel is manufactured with high-grade concrete, combining high-strength materials and imported additives, ensuring crack resistance, water resistance and corrosion resistance - three vital factors in a saltwater, high-wave environment.
In the river embankment group, Chau Au Nam supplies flat embankment panels and grass panels, widely used for river, lake, irrigation ditch, water canal, and resort projects.
Both products use high strength steel and PP fiber reinforced concrete, which helps increase the flexural resistance of concrete, prevent concrete surface cracking due to thermal shrinkage, and maintain a longer life than conventional concrete.
With seawalls, Chau Au Nam provides breakwater panels with many different shapes, protecting the coast against the risk of erosion, high tides and climate change.
Meanwhile, prestressed concrete sheet piles SW (300 - 1200) are widely used for river and sea embankment projects, especially in areas with weak geology, helping to stabilize the embankment, prevent erosion, be aesthetically effective and optimize the construction area. This is also an alternative solution to the traditional stone embankment method which is easily damaged and requires expensive maintenance costs.
According to the representative of Chau Au Nam, these solutions are developed towards sustainability, with superior material quality. Based on the foundation of common concrete structures, each product is the result of the research, improvement and innovation process to suit the new requirements of the market, meeting the increasingly strict standards of investors.
That is also the reason why Chau Au Nam - AMACCAO becomes a reliable partner in many large-scale projects stretching from North to South.
Imprints on constructions from North to South
In Hanoi , the projects to renovate the Dao River, Thiep River and Nhue River embankments have used thousands of PP fiber reinforced concrete embankment panels and SW sheet piles, contributing to improving the urban drainage system and limiting riverbank erosion.
In Quang Ninh , the Ha Long - Van Don coastal embankment project and the Phuong Dong Van Don urban area marked the Southern European mark with the SW600 sheet pile product - a superior load-bearing and anti-erosion material.

Meanwhile, in Hai Phong, the Dragon Hill International Tourist Area (Do Son) uses many items from Chau Au Nam such as wave breakers, roof slabs, and concrete sheet piles, creating a solid embankment, ensuring long-term safety for the entire coastal area.
In addition, Chau Au Nam also participates in many industrial projects, of which the embankment protecting the VinFast Automobile Factory (Hai Phong) is a typical example of the enterprise's flexible production, construction and application capacity.
With top quality in the market, beautiful aesthetics, long life and reasonable price, Chau Au Nam's revetment and sheet pile products help the project to be constructed quickly, neatly, beautifully, bringing great efficiency to the investor.
The projects, when put into operation, will not require major maintenance, contributing to fundamentally solving the burning problem of landslides in Vietnam in the face of natural disasters.
Prepare capacity to accompany national infrastructure
Not only providing products, Chau Au Nam also invests heavily in research, technology improvement and sustainable development. The company has just put into operation the Northeast Asia Concrete Factory - the most modern and largest pile factory in Southeast Asia with a designed capacity of 20,000 Md of products per day.
Chau Au Nam representative shared: “We always pursue the philosophy of sustainable work, investing in technology and people. The goal is not only to improve productivity and product quality, but also to reduce emissions and save energy - towards a green economy, a circular economy, and a digital economy."

Along with the expansion of scale, Chau Au Nam also diversifies its product portfolio to meet all the requirements of major domestic and foreign investors. From civil and irrigation projects to key national infrastructure projects, the company always maintains its commitment to: quality, progress, aesthetics, and reasonable costs.
