BPO - Once a locality with a low starting point, unsynchronized infrastructure, and a high poverty rate, Tan Tien border commune, Bu Dop district is changing day by day thanks to the concretization of the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term into practical action programs. With the high determination of the entire political system and consensus from the people, this borderland has made its mark with comprehensive results in many fields.

Unanimously implement the resolution targets

Right from the beginning of the term, the Tan Tien Commune Party Committee determined that if the resolution was to be put into practice, it must be concretized by an action program associated with reality. With that spirit, over the past 5 years, the whole commune has completed 18/18 targets of the Resolution of the 10th Commune Party Congress, many of which exceeded the plan. One of the outstanding achievements is the new rural construction program. From local resources combined with support from superiors and the cooperation of the people, Tan Tien has built nearly 28km of rural roads, upgraded more than 8km of electricity lines, and invested in irrigation to serve production. The inter-village and inter-hamlet branch roads are concreted, spacious and clean. Many households do not hesitate to donate land and contribute working days to help the State complete the infrastructure.

Over the past 5 years, traffic routes in Tan Tien commune have been asphalted and concreted, making them spacious, clean and beautiful.

Mr. Duong Van Gan, Vice Chairman of Tan Tien Commune People's Committee said: Right from the beginning of the term, the Party Committee and the commune government have focused on concretizing the resolution into concrete actions, close to the people. Up to now, we are proud to have completed all the set targets, including outstanding results from the new rural construction program. This is an important foundation for Tan Tien to develop sustainably in the future.

Along with infrastructure, the local economy has had a positive shift. The average growth rate reached 8%/year, the average income per capita reached 68 million VND/year, an increase of more than 56% compared to the beginning of the term. Agriculture is still the main industry, accounting for about 62% of the economic structure, in which the main crops are cashew, rubber, fruit trees, etc. The collective economy also recorded a development step with 3 newly established cooperatives, of which 1 cooperative achieved the 3-star OCOP product certification at the district level.

Irrigation works are invested synchronously, helping rice production increase from 1 to 2-3 crops/year.

The fields of culture,education and society have many positive changes. The movement of culture, sports and building a cultural life at the grassroots level has been promoted. The rate of families meeting cultural standards is increasing.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Cong, Principal of Tan Tien Primary School, shared: In the past 5 years, the local education sector has received great attention, from facilities, teaching equipment, entertainment areas to the quality of staff and teachers. Thanks to that, the quality of teaching and learning at the school has been increasingly improved.

In the health sector, the commune maintains a good team of doctors on regular service, ensures expanded vaccination targets and effectively controls epidemics. In particular, during the Covid-19 outbreak, the locality promptly implemented policies to support people, ensure social security, and leave no one behind.

Firmly at the fence of the Fatherland

As a commune located along the border, Tan Tien always puts national defense and security first. Political security and social order and safety are maintained. Many self-management models of security and order have clearly demonstrated their effectiveness, such as: "Security gong", "Inter-family fire safety and prevention team", "Self-management team of border lines and landmarks"...

Tan Tien is a border area, if stability is not maintained, it cannot develop. Therefore, in addition to socio-economic development, the commune pays special attention to security and defense, contributing to creating a safe environment for people to work and produce with peace of mind.

During the 2020-2025 term, the work of Party building and the local political system continued to be firmly consolidated. The commune Party Committee has 13 affiliated Party cells with a total of 232 Party members. Since the beginning of the term, the commune Party Committee has admitted 36 new Party members, reaching 112% of the plan. The study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style has been widely spread with many effective models such as: "Flower Road", "Raising piggy banks to encourage learning", "Saving to participate in health insurance"...

Secretary of the Commune Party Committee Ho Ba Toan affirmed: The past 5 years have clearly demonstrated the spirit of solidarity and unanimity between the Party and the people. The achieved results are a testament to the continuous efforts of the entire political system. With the motto "people trust, people support, everything will be successful", the Commune Party Committee will continue to promote the spirit of initiative, creativity, close to reality, build Tan Tien commune to develop quickly and sustainably, towards a new rural commune, the people's lives are increasingly prosperous and happy.

From a border commune with many difficulties, Tan Tien today is rising strongly. The achievements in the past term are not only numbers but also a firm belief for the upcoming development journey. It is also a vivid proof of the spirit of the resolution coming into life, contributing to Bu Dop district and Binh Phuoc province to successfully achieve the socio-economic development goals in the new period.
