The My Thuy traffic intersection project is a key traffic project of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to solving traffic congestion in the Cat Lai port area and the eastern gateway of the city, meeting the demand for freight transport, improving the competitiveness of the Cat Lai-Phu Huu port cluster to serve local socio -economic development.
According to the design, the My Thuy traffic intersection project has a scale of 3 floors, divided into 3 investment phases. Currently, the project has completed construction of some items in phase 1 and phase 2.

Specifically, the left-turn underpass, a four-lane overpass on Ring Road 2 and Ky Ha 3 Bridge - left branch, My Thuy 3 Bridge... In phase three, the project will deploy the overpass on Ring Road 2 - right branch and Ky Ha 3 Bridge - right branch with four lanes, expected to be completed on April 30, 2026.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the entire My Thuy intersection construction project includes two component projects: construction and site clearance. The construction component project has a total investment of VND1,826 billion; the compensation, site clearance and resettlement component project has a total investment of VND1,623 billion. The total land area used for the project is 16.6 hectares, with 195 households affected.
