Former Deputy Director of the Department of Food Safety Do Huu Tuan
During the process of expanding the investigation, based on collected documents and evidence, on November 21, 2025, the Office of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency issued a decision to prosecute 14 defendants, including a decision to prosecute, an order to arrest the defendant for temporary detention, and an order prohibiting them from leaving their place of residence for 8 defendants for the crime of "Receiving bribes" as prescribed in Article 354 of the Penal Code, specifically:
Prosecution and temporary detention of: (1) Do Huu Tuan, former Deputy Director of the Department of Food Safety; (2) Le Manh Hung, Head of the Department of Food Product Management; (3) Vu Huy Long, Specialist of the Department of Food Product Management.
Prosecute the accused and apply measures to prohibit leaving the place of residence for: (4) Nguyen Thi Thu Quynh, Specialist of the Department of Food Poisoning Monitoring and Information and Communication; (5) Nguyen Thi Yen, Deputy Chief of Office, Department of Food Safety; (6) Pham Hoang Giang, Specialist of the Department of Food Product Management; (7) Tran Thi Hong Nhung, Specialist of the Department of Food Product Management and (8) Tran Thi Tuyet, Specialist of the Department of Standards and Testing Management.
On the same day, the Supreme People's Procuracy (Department 3) issued decisions approving the above-mentioned procedural decisions. The Office of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency conducted procedural measures in compliance with legal regulations.
The Office of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency is expanding the investigation into the case, clarifying all violations of related individuals to strictly handle them according to the provisions of the law.
