Prosecution and detention of Chief Criminal Judge and Judge of Dak Lak Provincial People's Court

On December 13th, the People's Court of Dak Lak province announced that it had received notification from the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy regarding the indictment and temporary detention of two officials of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Court.

Accordingly, the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy announced the indictment and temporary detention of Mr. Nguyen Tan Duc, Chief Judge of the Criminal Court of the People's Court of Dak Lak province, for investigation into the crime of accepting bribes . They also indicted and temporarily detained Mr. Vu Van Tu, Judge of the Economic Court of the People's Court of Dak Lak province, for investigation into the crime of giving bribes.

Immediately after receiving notification from the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy, the People's Court of Dak Lak province proceeded with the procedures to temporarily suspend Mr. Duc and Mr. Tu from their duties.

In addition, the People's Court of Dak Lak province sent a document to the Party Committee of the bloc of agencies and enterprises in Dak Lak province, requesting the suspension of party membership for these two individuals.

Regarding the incident at the Da Nang High Court, Lawyer Ta Quang Tong, Head of the Dak Lak Provincial Bar Association, confirmed that he had received notification from the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy regarding the temporary detention of lawyer Nguyen Dinh Bao. Simultaneously, the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy requested the Dak Lak Provincial Bar Association to suspend his party membership.

" In the announcement, the Investigation Department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate clearly stated that lawyer Bao committed the crime of brokering bribery and has been temporarily detained ," lawyer Tong said.

Furthermore, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Director of the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Dak Lak province, also stated that the unit had just received notification from the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy regarding the transfer from temporary detention to temporary custody of Mr. To Thanh Trung - an enforcement officer of the Civil Judgment Enforcement Sub-Department of Buon Ma Thuot City. At the same time, the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy requested the temporary suspension of Mr. Trung from his position.
