On May 26, the Ia H'Drai District Forest Protection Department issued Decision No. 01 on the crime of forest destruction occurring at Lot 2, Block 7, Sub-area 747 within the administrative boundary of Ia Toi Commune, Ia H'Drai District. At the end of April 2025, the authorities discovered 0.9 hectares of natural forest illegally cut down. At the scene, more than 60 trees were cut down, equivalent to nearly 19m3 of round wood. The destroyed forest area is a production forest, in poor evergreen forest status. The primary responsibility belongs to Sa Thay Rubber Joint Stock Company because the unit has not yet handed over the recovered land area; failed to detect and prevent deforestation in a timely manner. The Kon Tum Provincial Forest Protection Department has requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct Sa Thay Rubber Joint Stock Company and the Ia H'Drai District People's Committee to organize a review and clarify the collective and individual responsibilities for not yet handing over the field; At the same time, lack of supervision leads to deforestation; request the People's Committee of Ia Toi commune to organize a review and clarify the responsibilities of groups and individuals related to deforestation.

In addition, the Provincial Forest Protection Department requested a review of Ia H'Drai Forest Protection Department and Ia Toi Commune People's Committee for being slow in reporting the incident, affecting the progress of investigation and handling of violations./.
