2025 National Youth Archery Championship kicks off

On June 4, the 2025 National Youth Archery Championship officially kicked off at Lam Son Stadium (Vung Tau City). The tournament brought together 200 male and female athletes from provinces and cities across the country.

At the tournament, athletes will compete in many different events including: single-string bow, triple-string bow at different distances, depending on age; the competition format applies the Archery Competition Rules of the World Archery Federation. In addition, the tournament also has combined events such as men's doubles, women's doubles and team coordination.

According to Mr. Phan Trong Quan - in charge of Archery - Vietnam Sports Department:   The new point of this year's tournament is that for the first time, the Organizing Committee has included the U18 age group in the competition and this is also the tournament with the largest number of young athletes participating so far. This shows the determination and efforts in youth training from the localities.

The tournament is not only a place for young athletes to show their talents but also an opportunity for coaches to discover new factors for the national team. This is also an opportunity for localities to evaluate youth training work, make appropriate adjustments to develop the sport of Archery; young people can compete, improve their skills and competitive spirit, creating a solid foundation for future international competitions.

The Organizing Committee presented flowers and souvenir flags to the participating delegations.

Archer Duong Hoang Vinh, national youth team, Archer of the host country ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau ) confided that coming to this tournament, he is determined to achieve the highest results. With his experience and thorough professional preparation, he hopes that Duong Hoang Vinh can realize his goals and bring high achievements to the locality where he is serving.

The tournament brings together 200 athletes from units and provinces across the country.

It is known that the Organizing Committee has also made great efforts to improve the quality of the tournament. The Department and the Federation are always actively seeking more socialized funding from sponsors, business organizations, and coordination from localities to organize more domestic tournaments, as well as increase funding to support teams from youth to national level to compete in international tournaments, organize training trips abroad, etc.

Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, archers competed in many different events at the same time. The 2025 National Youth Archery Championship is expected to end on June 11, 2025.
