On November 29, the installation art space organized by the Da Nang City Cultural and Cinema Center (Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports ) was officially launched at the northern sidewalk campus, east bank of Dragon Bridge (Tran Hung Dao Street, Son Tra District, Da Nang).

With the main materials being colorful nets, boats, sampans, baskets, conical hats, hurricane lamps... transformed with unique ideas, the art installation space with the theme "Memories" promises to bring people and tourists interesting places to visit and check-in...

Inspired by famous fishing villages with long histories such as Nam O fishing village, Man Thai fishing village, Son Tra..., through the artist's talent and skillful, creative hands, the artwork "Memories" evokes images of fishing villages that have existed through many ups and downs in Da Nang .

The work carries the colors of rivers, fishing nets, the sea and sky of Da Nang, evoking the flow of memories of the rustic early days of fishermen's life on the water...

The multi-colored nets, like long silk sheets, winding like swaying waves, demonstrate the vibrant historical flow of life in a craft village...

Boats, sampans, baskets, and nets are the main means of livelihood for fishermen on rivers and at sea, and are important stylized highlights of the artistic space...

Small-sized hurricane lamps combined with light shining on colorful nets create a shimmering, magical effect at night, recreating the vibrant daily life of a fishing village.

Artistic materials taken from familiar objects of the fishing village people have been used to decorate and remind people of their hard-working and industrious life.

Every detail and every object that the artist skillfully selected and arranged into the work contains many layers of culture and interesting stories waiting for visitors to discover.

“Memories” depicts the traditional cultural values ​​and characteristics of the fishing village. The flow of “Memories” is in the flow of Vietnamese culture, which is also the flow of bright colors in the process of “transformation” of the city over the years.

The installation art space is an activity in a series of cultural and festival activities on both sides of the Han River carried out by the Da Nang City Cultural and Cinema Center with the desire to diversify the types of culture and entertainment arts to serve the people and tourists in Da Nang City. Thereby, conveying positive messages to participants, contributing to creating good impressions of the livable city - Da Nang.

The "Memory" installation art space will last for 3 days from November 29 to December 1, 2024 at the northern sidewalk area, east bank of Dragon Bridge, Tran Hung Dao Street, Son Tra District, Da Nang. In addition, an instrumental music concert will take place on the evening of November 29-30 for visitors.
