Long Thanh District will forcibly reclaim land from 12 households on May 21 to implement the Bien Hoa

At the meeting, members of the Land Recovery Enforcement Board proposed a number of solutions to make the work of land recovery enforcement and demolition of houses, structures, and assets on land more effective in the coming period.

Long Thanh District Party Secretary Vo Van Phi requested the Land Recovery Enforcement Board to learn from the enforcement session on May 16; complete the development of an enforcement plan that meets the requirements: strict, synchronous solutions, with clear division of responsibilities so that the enforcement work achieves the highest efficiency.

On May 18, the Land Acquisition Enforcement Committee will coordinate with the Commune People's Committee to mobilize and persuade households once again. In case at this mobilization session, the people agree to hand over the land, there will be no enforcement, and forces will be sent to support the people in dismantling their houses and moving their assets. In case after this meeting, the people still do not agree, the district will enforce according to the issued plan, and the people will have to bear all enforcement costs.

“This is an important political task that must be resolved in May. Therefore, the Land Acquisition Enforcement Board, relevant units and the Commune People's Committee must prioritize and focus on resolving it,” emphasized the Secretary of the Long Thanh District Party Committee.

According to the draft plan for compulsory land acquisition, on May 20, the Land Acquisition Enforcement Board will enforce the land acquisition of 12 households in Long Duc commune. These are cases where the district has organized propaganda and mobilization many times but they have not complied with the policy and have not agreed to hand over the land to the State.

The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway project through Long Thanh district is about 28km long, with a total area of nearly 228 hectares to be recovered, and 2,786 cases of land recovery. Up to now, the district has cleared more than 99% of the land and enforced land recovery for 1 household.
