In Son Ha district, the situation of stopping and withdrawing voluntary social insurance at one time also tends to increase. For example, Ms. Le Thi Thu Thao, in Lang Rao village, Son Thuy commune (Son Ha), participated in voluntary social insurance for 2 years and 3 months, but recently went to the district social insurance to request a one-time withdrawal of social insurance. Ms. Thao shared, "I used to participate in voluntary social insurance for both my husband and I, but recently I found it difficult so I stopped participating and withdrew the money."

Since the beginning of 2025, many people in the district have not had stable jobs, some employees working at the company lost their jobs, had no income, so they did not continue to participate in voluntary social insurance or requested to withdraw social insurance at one time. In the district, in the past, Nhat Hung Son Ha Company Limited employed over 100 employees, but in 2024, the company encountered difficulties and reduced its workforce by over 95%, currently only 10 employees, leading to a decrease in the number of people participating in social insurance.

Director of Son Ha District Social Insurance Dinh Xuan Tuyen said that in the coming time, the district Social Insurance will continue to urge employers to pay compulsory social insurance for employees; coordinate with associations, unions, and commune People's Committees to organize customer conferences, closely follow the area to develop new participants. At the same time, service organizations will be assigned to regularly review the number of cases that have stopped paying voluntary social insurance to encourage them to pay again.
According to Deputy Director of the Provincial Social Insurance Trinh Quang Nghia, the Provincial Social Insurance has directed the Social Insurance of districts and towns to focus on implementing solutions suitable to the conditions of each locality to develop social insurance participants as well as "retain" employees in the social security system. According to regulations, in case of immediate difficulties, employees can reserve their social insurance payment period so that when conditions permit, they can continue to participate in compulsory social insurance or participate in voluntary social insurance. In addition, the amended and supplemented Law on Social Insurance 2024, effective from July 1, 2025, has added many regulations to expand and increase benefits for employees, helping employees have more opportunities to receive pensions.
