Experts said that iPhone 16 has achieved good sales in many markets such as Japan, the Middle East and Africa. Improved economic conditions and revised subsidy regulations have encouraged users to upgrade to new iPhones, especially in the Japanese market.

Besides the iPhone 16, Apple also has 4 other product lines that are also in the list of 10 best-selling devices in the first quarter. The iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro duo ranked second and third in the rankings, respectively.

The Pro line has faced significant challenges in the Chinese market and has faced stiff competition from rival Huawei, according to a report from Counterpoint Research. However, the Pro models still account for nearly half of all iPhone sales.

The iPhone 15 ranked 4th on the list, while the iPhone 16 Plus ranked 10th. Notably, the iPhone 16e had an impressive debut when it ranked 6th in the 10 best-selling smartphones in March. Despite having a higher price than the iPhone SE 2022, this product still achieved success thanks to a series of improvements in hardware and features.

In the high-end Android segment, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra model ranked 7th, down 2 places from the Galaxy S24 Ultra in the same period last year.

According to Counterpoint Research, the main reason is that the Galaxy S25 Ultra launched later. However, the Galaxy S25 series still brought in stable sales, contributing about 25% of Samsung's total sales in March.

With deep integration of Google's Gemini AI platform, the Galaxy S25 series marks an important step forward for Samsung in its journey towards a smarter AI experience, enhancing user personalization.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A16 5G ranked 5th, up one place from its predecessor in the same period in 2024. Sales of this device increased by 17% thanks to its wide distribution in regions such as North America - which accounts for 30% of total global sales of this model.

The Galaxy A06 takes the 6th spot, up 4 places from last year's Galaxy A05. This growth comes from the growing demand for low-cost smartphones in many regions. The low-cost segment now accounts for nearly 20% of total global smartphone sales.

The Redmi 14C 4G is the only Xiaomi representative on the list. Compared to its predecessor, sales of this model increased by 43%, with growth mainly recorded in emerging markets such as the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

According to experts, the market share of the 10 best-selling smartphone models is likely to remain stable in the coming time, despite factors such as tariff tensions or market fluctuations.

The high-end segment is expected to play a key role as companies increasingly focus on launching expensive products to serve users with upgrade needs.
