5,000 billion VND used by Vietnamese people to buy iPhone 16

After more than 1 month of launching in Vietnam, the preliminary sales and revenue of the iPhone 16 series have just been revealed.

iPhone sales have been affected as the market has not fully recovered. However, the figure of thousands of billions of VND shows that this is a large source of revenue for domestic retailers.

5,000 billion VND was used by Vietnamese people to buy iPhone 16.

This year is the first year that the iPhone goes on sale right at 0:00. Previously, the iPhone 13, 14 and 15 all went on sale from 6:00 a.m. The number of genuine iPhone 16s sold in Vietnam on September 27 alone reached 37,000 units, most of which were the Pro line, helping to surpass a trillion VND in revenue.

The Gioi Di Dong is considered the best seller in the market when it activated 3,000 devices on the opening night and sold about 60,000 iPhone 16s after the first month. The revenue is about 2,000 billion VND. This is the leading retailer in the market with the largest number of points of sale.

FPT Shop delivered 10,000 units on the first day, achieving revenue of 300 billion VND. This company announced that the sales of iPhone 16 reached 40,000 units, bringing in revenue of about 1,300 billion VND.

CellphoneS representative shared that the unit sold about 30,000 iPhone 16s in 1 month and 16 Pro Max accounted for the overwhelming proportion of about 70% of the total.

Thus, the total revenue from the above 3 units is about 4,300 billion VND.

The Southern market recorded little change in iPhone market share among retailers. The Gioi Di Dong holds the majority with about 40 - 45%.

Accordingly, the Vietnamese market is estimated to absorb about 130,000 - 150,000 iPhones in the first month, equivalent to revenue of 4,500 - 5,000 billion VND.
