The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi has just released a report summarizing opinions and recommendations of voters and people before the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
According to the report, Hanoi voters support the plan to conduct a general inspection to handle violations of urban order and traffic safety of all levels of the city's sectors.
However, voters assessed that the situation of encroaching on sidewalks for selling goods, illegally parking vehicles, and collecting vehicle fees exceeding regulations has not decreased much.
Hanoi voters believe that if the authorities are not resolute and do not regularly inspect and urge, and if the awareness of some people is not high, then after the campaign, the situation of encroachment on roads and sidewalks will occur again as before.
To resolve the situation of violations of urban order, voters recommend that the government create conditions for sidewalk vendors and street vendors to have stable business locations, ensuring harmony of community interests.
Risk of broken registration system
Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, voters and people of the capital agree with the direction and drastic implementation, demonstrating the determination of the Party and State, saying goes hand in hand with doing, with no exceptions, no forbidden areas in handling officials with violations.
Many complicated cases have been handled and investigated, thereby creating great trust among the people in the Party and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
"Voters hope that the Party, State and city will continue to resolutely implement the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity by synchronously perfecting the legal system on preventing, combating and handling corruption and negativity in the fields of land and bidding," said Hanoi voters.
Voters in the capital agree with the police force's determination to deal with negative aspects in vehicle registration work.
However, a series of widespread and systematic violations in the vehicle inspection force has caused many vehicle inspection centers to close, causing difficulties and wasting time and effort for people and businesses in going for vehicle inspection.
“That directly affects people’s lives and business production. In addition, the inspection force working with a stressful and anxious mentality will cause the risk of breaking down the motor vehicle inspection system,” Hanoi voters worry.
Hanoi: A separate lane for the blind on the sidewalk is occupied as if it had a 'red book'
The sidewalks reserved for the blind in Hanoi are encroached upon by coffee shops and parking lots. Even during rush hour, motorcyclists invade the blind’s lanes.
The first sidewalk areas in Hanoi are for rent
4 sidewalk locations are rented by Hoan Kiem District (Hanoi) to sell coffee and food services. They have large areas and are located in prime locations, close to large restaurants and hotels.
Driver parked car on the street and got into a fight with a fruit seller occupying the sidewalk.
Images from the clip show the driver parked on the street, picked up fruit and threw it at the owner of a fruit shop that was encroaching on the sidewalk. In response, the shop owner also picked up fruit and threw it, followed by a fight between the two.
