On the morning of October 15, the Ban Gioc – Duc Thien waterfall landscape area officially began operating. Each day, both sides will receive a maximum of 1,000 visitors, with a regulation of 20 people per group.
The cross-border tour itinerary is designed to include major attractions in both Vietnam and China. The experience gives visitors a more diverse perspective of one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world .
On the Vietnamese side, visitors will visit from the foot of Ban Gioc waterfall, passing Saigon hotel and Truc Lam Phat Tich pagoda.
On the Chinese side, visitors will visit Detian Waterfall, shopping streets, high-altitude waterfall viewing points and viewing platforms.
Earlier, during the meeting on the morning of October 13 at the Government headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang announced that the Ban Gioc – Detian waterfall scenic area would be officially put into operation from October 15. This is a cross-border cooperation area between the two countries with an area of 400 hectares, with 200 hectares on each side.
From September to December every year is the ideal time for tourists to come to Ban Gioc waterfall. At this time, the color of the waterfall will turn into a cool emerald green among the green patches of trees and hills. The waterfall is located on the flow of Quay Son river ( Cao Bang province).
Ban Gioc Waterfall, which has always attracted tourists by its poetic and lyrical beauty, now fascinates visitors even more by its diverse beauty from many angles, sometimes gentle, sometimes immense and majestic.
The scenic area has been piloted since September 15, 2023. Up to now, there have been about 950 groups with about 12,000 people entering and leaving for sightseeing and tourism.
