Official operation of Ban Gioc-Duc Thien Waterfall Scenic Area

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Ho Pham, Vice Chairman of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) shared that Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area - Duc Thien is the first cross-border tourism cooperation zone between the two countries.

Since the pilot operation on September 15, 2023, to October 10, the landscape area has welcomed more than 1,000 groups of visitors, with nearly 18,000 visitors. Of these, there were 424 groups, with more than 6,000 Vietnamese visitors.

The Organizing Committee welcomed the first group of Vietnamese tourists to visit the landscape since it officially opened.

After 1 year of safe, stable and orderly pilot operation, today, the landscape area has officially come into operation, marking an important milestone and premise in enhancing cooperation and developing the border area between the two countries.

To continue building the Ban Gioc-Detian Waterfall Scenic Area into a model cross-border tourist area and green tourism, the Vice Chairman of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region suggested that the two localities of Cao Bang and Guangxi continue to join hands to build the landscape area into an exemplary model of border tourism and green tourism.

The two localities exchange, coordinate, build infrastructure, enrich tourism products in the landscape, attract tourists. The two sides also need to increase exchanges, accumulate management experience, and build exemplary models of cross-border tourism.

The two sides continue to join hands to promote cooperation and develop border tourism more deeply and practically, for the development and prosperity of each side.

From this tourism cooperation bridge, comrade Ho Pham suggested that the two localities continue to strengthen and expand cooperation in many fields, between localities in the two provinces and regions on the basis of equality, mutual benefit, and socio -economic development of the two provinces and regions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Trinh Truong Huy, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province, emphasized: The official operation of the Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) is an important event in promoting cooperation and mutual development between the two provinces and regions.

The official operation of the scenic area will contribute to promoting tourism cooperation, enhancing friendly exchanges between local people on both sides of the border and the people of Vietnam and China, making an important contribution to promoting the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China to develop and deepen.

In the spirit of jointly protecting and exploiting tourism resources, building the Ban Gioc waterfall landscape area (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) into a model, unique and distinctive tourist area, comrade Trinh Truong Huy suggested that the two sides continue to strengthen exchanges and coordination in protecting the tourism resources of Ban Gioc waterfall (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China), preserving natural resources and cultural values in this landscape area.

The two sides continue to research, cooperate, and exchange information on building unique and distinctive border works, creating more highlights to attract tourists to the Ban Gioc waterfall (Vietnam) - Detian (China) landscape area.

The functional forces of both sides coordinate well to ensure security and safety for tourists passing through the Ban Gioc-Duc Thien Waterfall Scenic Area; regularly exchange information and situations related to the operation and organization of tourists passing through the scenic area; promptly coordinate to handle situations arising during operation.
