Khuat Van Khang's unexpected accident
On the night of August 22 at Hang Day Stadium, in the 38th minute of the match between The Cong Viettel and Ho Chi Minh City Police Club (HCMC Police Club), after a dispute on the sideline between Khuat Van Khang and Tay Van Toan, both of them fell to the ground.
Tay Van Toan then got up and continued playing normally, but Khuat Van Khang had to seek emergency medical attention. Slow motion footage showed that Toan's hand hit the face of the Viettel The Cong player, but referee Xuan Hung did not notice.
Due to the heavy bleeding, Coach Kim Sang-sik's favorite player had to leave the field early in the 39th minute and was replaced by Coach Popov with Van Tram. Immediately afterwards, the number 11 midfielder of the military team was taken by ambulance straight to the hospital.
Mr. Kim breathed a sigh of relief.

The match then ended with a 3-0 victory for The Cong Viettel on the day that expensive defender Matheus of CA TP.HCM Club made a mistake leading to a penalty that helped Pedro open the scoring, before Darmian An and Lucao added 2 more goals towards the end of the match.
Khuat Van Khang was later discharged from the hospital with 10 stitches on his lip, where doctors had to stitch two layers inside and outside for the young man born in 2003. The good news is that his health is still stable and he will not have to rest for too long.
It is expected that after 1-2 days off, Khuat Van Khang will be able to practice with his teammates to prepare for the match against Becamex TP.HCM Club in round 3 of V-League. It is expected that Coach Popov can still confidently use his young student who had 10 assists for The Cong Viettel last season.
This means that after round 3, Khuat Van Khang can still concentrate on FIFA Day next September - the time when the Vietnam U.23 team will play the qualifying round of the U.23 Asian Cup at Viet Tri Stadium, facing opponents Bangladesh (September 3), Singapore (September 6) and Yemen (September 9).
