Hanoi City has just issued Decision No. 4354/QD-UBND on promulgating the time plan framework for the 2024-2025 school year for preschooleducation , general education and continuing education in Hanoi.
Accordingly, students in the city will return to school at least 1 week before the opening day. For first graders, they will return to school at least 2 weeks before the opening day.
The whole city held the opening ceremony on September 5 (Thursday).
Schools finish semester I before January 18, 2025; complete the program and end the school year before May 31, 2025.

Consideration and recognition of completion of primary school program and recognition of graduation from secondary school before June 30, 2025; Complete enrollment of first grade classes before July 31, 2025.
The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26 and 27, 2025. Other national exams are organized according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training .
Holidays and Tet holidays during the school year are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidelines. Teachers' annual leave is taken during the summer vacation or can be arranged alternately at other times during the year to suit the specific characteristics and schedule of the school year.
