To specify Plan No. 204 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the Project "Ensuring food safety (FS), improving the quality of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the period of 2021 - 2030 in the province", in the first 9 months of 2024, relevant units under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development posted 111 news, articles, and self-declarations of products of agricultural and food production establishments on the Vinh Phuc Agricultural and Rural Development Electronic Communication Portal.
Staff of the Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Product Quality Management (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development) use a test kit to quickly check pesticide residues in vegetables and fruits.
Chaired and coordinated the organization of 46 training courses on food safety law, advanced food safety management system HACCP, ISO 22000:2018; inter-sectoral and specialized assessment, inspection and post-inspection of food safety for 171 agricultural, forestry and fishery production and trading establishments; administratively sanctioned 6 establishments with a total fine of 27.5 million VND.
Along with that, the Department of Agriculture took 2,403 samples of agricultural products and food, including 913 samples for quantitative analysis of food safety indicators; 1,490 samples for rapid food safety testing.
As a result, only 0.2% of samples did not meet the regulations, such as ham and sausage exceeding the E.Coli microorganism limit. The monitoring results were reported to the facilities and coordinated with relevant agencies to trace the origin and recall products that did not meet food safety standards.
