The Nam Dong - A Luoi Road Project (Provincial Road 74), Thua Thien Hue Province (Phase 3) was started in January 2024, with a length of nearly 48 km, including 2 packages, with a total investment of 475 billion VND, constructed by Corporation 319, Ministry of National Defense , Joint Venture of Truong Son Construction Corporation - Truong Son Joint Stock Company (Army Corps 12). As of August 15, 2024, the value of construction package 1 from Km0+00 to Km24+00 implementing the project reached 28% of the contract value; construction package 2 from Km24+00 to Km48+360 implementing the project reached 29.7% of the contract value.

The Nam Dong - A Luoi road project is a particularly important project, a vital route that will contribute to promoting socio -economic development, ensuring national defense and security for Thua Thien Hue province in general and mountainous areas of Nam Dong and A Luoi districts in particular. Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh requested that in the coming time, the Project Management Board needs to continue to urge design consultants and supervision consultants, especially directing contractors to focus on mobilizing maximum human resources, material resources, equipment, taking advantage of sunny weather conditions to further speed up the construction progress while ensuring the quality of the works, especially during the construction process, it is necessary to pay attention to ensuring absolute labor safety and traffic safety.

The Commander of the Military Region also requested the leaders of the Party Committee and local authorities of Thua Thien Hue province, Nam Dong and A Luoi districts to regularly pay attention to creating favorable conditions and promptly direct the resolution of difficulties, especially site clearance work, to best ensure the project is implemented on schedule and with quality.

On the same morning, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh and the delegation also inspected combat readiness at the Provincial Military Command. The Commander of the Military Region requested the Provincial Military Command to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the instructions of the superiors on combat readiness, strictly maintain the regular regime, and discipline management. At the same time, proactively coordinate with the forces to grasp the situation, deploy and develop tight combat readiness plans and schemes, and strictly maintain combat readiness regimes at all levels.
