At the time of inspection, there was flooding in some flower gardens, cracks in houses, and many potholes on roads, making it difficult for people to travel.

Based on the above reality, Vice Chairman of Long Thanh District People's Committee Le Hoang Son requested Project Management Board 85 to promptly fix the potholes on Bung Mon Street, Long An Commune; and handle the flooding situation through the underpass.

In Phuoc Binh commune, the underpass area was flooded, leaving 7 households without a way out. Project Management Board 85 is requested to temporarily handle the situation or arrange a temporary path for people to travel conveniently. In Tan Hiep commune, the drainage system is not guaranteed. The investor is requested to build a collection road and drainage culvert. In addition, the investor is requested to request construction units to have solutions to reduce dust and maintain people's traffic routes.

For the People's Committees of the above 3 communes, the district leaders requested to compile statistics on households with cracked houses to send to Project Management Board 85 for urgent handling.

Previously, on April 2, 2025, the People's Committee of Long An commune received feedback from a number of people in An Lam hamlet about rainwater flooding into gardens and houses, affecting vegetables and life. The People's Committee of the commune verified and recorded that at the household of Mr. Hoang Van Kha, born in 1960, after a heavy rain on April 1, 2025, rainwater flooded into his garden, flooding the entire vegetable growing area of about 300m2 , causing damage of about 5 million VND.

Through verification, due to heavy rain, the flow through Bung Mon stream to Thai Lac dam increased. On the other hand, because the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project passes through the stream, the investor only installed a few small culverts, the amount of water that drained through could not be enough, leading to flooding and overflowing into people's houses. The commune People's Committee proposed that the district invite the investor to work to have a timely solution and remedy, avoiding affecting people when the rainy and stormy season is coming.

Currently, in Long Thanh district, especially the communes near the airport, many key projects are under construction. During the construction process, some areas were flooded, houses cracked, landslides, and flooding, affecting people's lives and traffic safety.
