At around 7:00 p.m. on November 7, Sa Pa Ward Police, Lao Cai Province received a report that a Japanese tourist was lost while visiting Ham Rong Mountain tourist area.

Immediately after receiving the information, the unit reported to the town police leadership, mobilized 100% of officers and soldiers to coordinate with the tourist area management board and local people to organize an emergency search at night, promptly bringing tourists to safety.
According to verification, the tourist is Mr. Suzuki Hitoshi (born 2004), Japanese nationality, temporarily residing at No. 12 Hoang Dieu, room 302, staying at Do Chien Thang Business Household. Before that, at about 5:00 p.m. the same day, Mr. Suzuki visited Ham Rong Mountain Tourist Area following the concrete road and trail to the top of Ham Rong Mountain, then went deep into the cardamom garden area.
At around 7pm, due to darkness, thick fog, and limited visibility, the tourist became disoriented and could not find his way down the mountain. He contacted Elite Booking Hotel via WhatsApp for assistance.

Upon receiving the news, Sa Pa Ward Police quickly deployed a force of 20 officers and soldiers carrying lighting and communication equipment, coordinating with the Ham Rong Tourist Area Management Board and local people to divide into many groups and go in different directions to search.
After nearly 2 hours of effort, at around 9pm the same day, the authorities discovered and brought Suzuki Hitoshi safely to the cardamom garden area, near the top of Ham Rong mountain. After an initial health check, the tourist was stable, in good spirits and expressed deep gratitude to the Vietnamese police force and the people of Sa Pa for their timely support and rescue in a dangerous moment.
