Kroos still believes in Real Madrid's strength.

In a podcast on April 11, Kroos spoke about his former team Real Madrid's 0-3 defeat to Arsenal on April 9: "Usually, when Real Madrid are behind, we always believe that we can score. But in the last match, after conceding the second goal, everything seemed to be over. I find this strange."

Kroos stressed that in the past, Real Madrid always had explosive moments even when they were behind. He was optimistic about the possibility of a comeback against Arsenal in the second leg.

"Real Madrid need to show their strength and get the support of their home fans. They will have to concentrate in the first 15 minutes. A draw in the first leg is very bad for Real Madrid. In fact, they have to lose to have the motivation to turn the situation around," Kroos added.

Against Arsenal, Real Madrid's midfield was out of sync. Many fans agreed that "Los Blancos" lacked a good passer like Kroos in midfield. Luka Modric and Eduardo Camavinga were overshadowed by Arsenal's powerful and physical midfield.

Since Kroos retired, Real Madrid has not had stability in controlling and implementing the game. This makes it difficult for coach Carlo Ancelotti to build the midfield. He has not found a replacement with enough ability to maintain the rhythm and organize the game.

Real Madrid will have a rematch against Arsenal at the Bernabeu on April 17.
