Vietnam team receives bad news before decisive match with Malaysia

(Dan Tri) - Key players of the Vietnamese national team such as Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Thanh Binh, and Tien Linh were injured before the match against Malaysia in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers on June 10.

Coach Nguyen Anh Duc confirmed that Tien Linh has a problem and cannot play. As expected, the 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball will join the national team today. In the immediate future, the Vietnamese team's doctors will monitor and assess Tien Linh's injury. The 28-year-old striker's ability to play in the match against Malaysia is still uncertain.

Yesterday (May 30), the Vietnamese team had its first training session. Only 15/23 players attended this training session. The players from Binh Duong and Cong An Ha Noi clubs joined the team late because they had to make up for a match in the V-League. Thanh Chung suffered a muscle strain and will practice from this afternoon (May 31).
