Speaking at the meeting, comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in just a few days, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces will merge into the new Lam Dong province. This is an opportunity for the new Lam Dong province in general and the current Dak Nong province in particular. Over the past nearly a term, Dak Nong has overcome many difficulties and challenges due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, bauxite planning, land planning, etc.

However, with the efforts, solidarity and determination of all levels and sectors, and the support of the entire population, Dak Nong has overcome all difficulties and achieved proud achievements in all fields. The average income per capita reached nearly 82 million VND/person/year.

Many key projects have been started, including the Gia Nghia – Chon Thanh expressway project. In particular, the province has devoted much effort to resolving problems related to the bauxite project. The provincial People’s Committee has worked responsibly, continuously held meetings, and coordinated with central ministries and branches to resolve the bottlenecks.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested that each cadre change their thinking, working, and actions to better serve the organization and the people.

One of the important factors that helped the Provincial People's Committee complete its tasks in the past time was the effective support of the Standing Committee and the committees of the Provincial People's Council. Throughout the term, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial People's Council maintained regular coordination and high consensus on many important issues; jointly assessed what had been done and what had not been done, and promptly resolved existing problems.

This is a vivid manifestation of responsibility and companionship for the common interests of the people. In addition, the management work of the Provincial People's Committee is also increasingly improved. Comrade Ho Van Muoi said: "I really understand many things in management. There are successes, limitations, and even imperfections. But above all, it is valuable experience to continue to do well in the management task in the new province".

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, history has never given Lam Dong such a great opportunity. Therefore, in the new conditions, each cadre, civil servant and public employee needs to change their perception, clearly understand their role, position and responsibility. "We are not allowed to think that we are only one-third of a unified entity, we cannot work in a way that is just a complete role. If we cannot do it, we must be ready to stand aside so that someone else with more capacity and responsibility can take on the job. We must be unified and determined in personnel work", the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi affirmed that the provincial leaders will continue to accompany the staff, civil servants and public employees in the new environment. At the same time, he hoped that each staff member must change their way of thinking, working and acting to better serve the organization and the people.

The meeting discussed and considered many important issues.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council reviewed, discussed thoroughly and unanimously passed 3 important resolutions including: Approving the settlement of state budget revenue in the area; settlement of local budget revenue and expenditure in 2024; Approving the list of additional projects requiring land recovery and land use purpose change for national and public interests in 2025; Adjusting and supplementing the 2025 budget estimates for agencies and units.

In his closing speech, Comrade Luu Van Trung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, requested the Provincial People's Committee to focus on directing the early implementation and concretization of the adopted resolutions. At the same time, he emphasized that this is the last session of the 4th Provincial People's Council before the merger of the 3 provinces of Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong.

The meeting unanimously voted to pass three important resolutions.

“Looking back over the past 21 years, with countless difficulties and challenges, but with the spirit of solidarity, courage, daring to think, daring to do, flexible and creative application to specific conditions, the Provincial People's Council has issued many correct mechanisms and policies, for the development of the province and the interests of the people. In the process of performing its functions and tasks, the Provincial People's Council has always affirmed its position, prestige and role as an agency representing the will, aspirations and mastery of the people", Comrade Luu Van Trung emphasized.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial People's Council, Comrade Luu Van Trung expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Central Party Committee, the National Assembly, the Government and the Central ministries, branches, the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Standing Committee for always paying attention, closely and promptly directing the activities of the Provincial People's Council in recent years and for the sharing, comments, encouragement and motivation of generations of provincial leaders through the periods.

He especially thanked the support, solidarity and unanimity of the Provincial People's Council delegates, the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council committees; the coordination of Party committees at all levels, the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, the business community and the media agencies; and the companionship and support of voters and people in the province.

Comrade Luu Van Trung shared that the transition from a small administrative unit to a larger province requires further enhancement of the sense of responsibility, discipline and order in performing public duties. “A small house is different from a big house. The larger the environment, the more serious one must be, and the stricter the implementation of discipline and administrative order to maintain the prestige of the Party and the government in the eyes of the people, especially the role and responsibility of setting an example of the leader”, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council requested.

He also expressed his hope that the delegates of the Provincial People's Council will continue to promote their roles and experiences, and work together with the new provincial government to fulfill their assigned duties and tasks in the new period. Officials in the new province must be highly united and united, and must exert 200% of their efforts to serve so that the new province can develop strongly and confidently enter a new era with the whole country - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

“The Provincial People's Council wishes and requests that Party committees at all levels, authorities, Fatherland Fronts and socio-political organizations, Provincial People's Council delegates, business community, voters and people in the province, with the tradition of solidarity, continue to accompany and join hands with the Party Committee and the Government of Lam Dong province to successfully implement the set goals and tasks, creating a solid foundation for Lam Dong province to enter the era of national growth, the era of sustainable development and prosperity", the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council proposed.
