Leaders of Ngoc Dong Tea Company Limited and Mr. Akita Takeshi - Chairman of Japan Original Corporation signed a cooperation contract to invest in the project.
Formerly a state-owned enterprise, Ngoc Dong Tea Company Limited was assigned land to grow tea with an area of nearly 177 hectares. The tea gardens planted from 1986 to 1990 were of poor quality, diseased and diseased tea varieties with low productivity; the cultivation still abused pesticides, the production process was not modernized and limited in terms of promoting a potential tea area. With the goal of sustainable development, effective land use and production and business, building the brand "Ngoc Dong Organic Tea" and making Ngoc Dong commune one of the high-value tea areas of the province, Ngoc Dong Tea Company Limited has cooperated with Phu Tho Organic Agriculture Joint Stock Company and Japan Original Corporation (Japan) to improve tea growing technology in Ngoc Dong commune.
Accordingly, from now until 2028, the project will renovate the land and plant 150 hectares of new tea varieties using Japanese technology, while applying Japanese high-tech organic agriculture to the Company's tea gardens. Implement post-harvest tea processing steps; build factories, receive transfers and research modern tea processing steps using Japanese technology and standards, ensuring food hygiene and safety according to international standards. Build marketing and communication tools and develop value-added products from tea, combine building an eco-tourism model to experience clean agriculture to sustainably develop the local economy.
When the project is completed and put into operation, it will contribute significantly to creating stable jobs and increasing income for tea growers, thereby improving and enhancing the quality of life of local people. At the same time, it will create another destination for eco-tourism to experience clean agriculture on the Phu Tho tourism map.
