The signing of the twinning regulations contributes to building a peaceful , friendly, stable, cooperative and developing border.

Attending the ceremony, on the side of Hue City Border Guard, there was Colonel Dang Ngoc Hieu, Party Secretary, Political Commissar; on the side of Salavan Provincial Military Command, there was Colonel So Pha Pho Xay Nha Vong, Political Commander. Also attending were representatives of the People's Committee of A Luoi 1 Commune, the Defense Command of Area 2 - A Luoi (Hue City) and leaders of the Sa Muoi District Government Committee (Salavan Province).

The two units signed a twinning regulation with many important and practical contents: Coordination in border management and protection; maintaining a regular consultation and information exchange regime; organizing bilateral patrols; propagating and mobilizing people on both sides of the border to strictly comply with agreements and regulations on border management and protection and border gates.

The two sides agreed to coordinate in the fight against all types of crime; support rescue work, disaster relief, and disease prevention; organize cultural and sports exchange activities; and share experiences in building strong and comprehensive units.

The leaders of the two sides affirmed: The signing of the twinning regulations is a practical activity, contributing to consolidating trust and enhancing the special solidarity between the Vietnam - Laos border protection forces, joining hands to build a border of peace, friendship, stability, cooperation and sustainable development.
