Disciplinary warning for principal accused of molesting teacher in An Giang

On the afternoon of May 13, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Trang Cong Cuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of An Phu district, An Giang province - said that the Inspection Committee of An Phu district Party Committee had announced the decision to issue a disciplinary warning to Mr. Vo Thanh Dung, principal of A Quoc Thai Primary School, An Phu district.

According to Mr. Cuong, Mr. Dung was identified as having sent harassing messages to many female teachers working at the school, most of whom were married.

“The People's Committee of An Phu district will consider administrative disciplinary action against him after the An Phu District Party Committee issues a Party warning. The transfer depends on the severity of the violation,” said Mr. Cuong.

The Inspection Committee of An Phu District Party Committee determined that Mr. Vo Thanh Dung, Party cell secretary and principal, violated working procedures and regulations, principles of democratic centralism, finance, ethics, lifestyle and things that party members are not allowed to do.

Mr. Dung also violated ethics, lifestyle, exemplary responsibility and things that party members are not allowed to do. The review process showed that he did not receive appropriate disciplinary action.

Mr. Dung's violations are serious, causing bad public opinion among cadres, party members and parents of students, reducing the prestige of himself, the Party organization andthe education sector.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. LTP, a teacher at A Quoc Thai Primary School, An Phu District, accused Mr. Vo Thanh Dung of molesting and harassing many teachers in the school with text messages, but her complaints have not been resolved for many months, causing public outrage.
