On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on April 16, the Communist Party of Argentina organized activities at the Center for Marxist Research and Training Héctor P. Agosti (CEFMA) of the Communist Party of Argentina, with the participation of Vietnamese Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Argentina Jorge Kreyness.
Speaking at the commemorative event, Head of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Argentina Marcelo F. Rodriguez, who is also Director of CEFMA, emphasized the importance of the event, aiming to strengthen and deepen the historical relationship between Argentina and Vietnam, as well as between the Communist Party of Argentina and the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Thanking the event organizers, Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet affirmed the great historical value of the 1975 Spring Victory of the Vietnamese people in the struggle against American imperialism of the Vietnamese people.
Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet also highlighted Vietnam's achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam after nearly 40 years of implementing the Doi Moi policy, the country's economy has achieved many progressive achievements, bringing Vietnam into the group of 40 largest economies in the world, with the development of defense and security policies and the quality of life of the people being significantly improved.
The Vietnamese Ambassador emphasized the great achievements of historical significance and the recognition of the international community that have brought Vietnam confidently into a new era, an era of rising up, building a peaceful , independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, happy Vietnam, steadily advancing towards socialism.
At the event, Mr. Ruben Darío Guzzetti, coordinator of the Vietnam Research Group at CEFMA, presented the objectives of this research group and emphasized the importance of the struggle of the Vietnamese people, led by the Communist Party of Vietnam, to defeat colonialism and imperialism in 1975 and unify the country. He also highly appreciated the level of development and achievements that Vietnam has achieved in the international arena.
Meanwhile, Mr. Hernán Randi, Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of Argentina, recalled the importance of the Vietnamese people's struggle for Argentine youth in the 1970s, the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap, as well as the solidarity efforts of the Argentine people at that time to support the Vietnamese people's struggle, while highlighting the leadership and direction of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
A large number of members of the National Secretariat of the Communist Party of Argentina and CEFMA attended the celebration.
