The 2024 high school graduation exam has come to an end. According to the assessment of the Provincial Examination Steering Committee, the exam took place safely, seriously and successfully. The organization of the exam was carefully and thoroughly prepared with the responsible participation of the entire political system, contributing to the enthusiasm of the candidates in the northernmost part of the country to pass the exam.

The 2024 high school graduation exam is a special exam because it is the last exam according to the 2006 General Education Program. Therefore, this year, the number of candidates taking the exam in Ha Giang province is 6,950, an increase of 664 candidates compared to the 2023 exam. To organize the exam, the Examination Council of the Department of Education and Training mobilized 2,100 cadres, teachers, and employees to ensure the correct and sufficient composition and quantity according to regulations. Together with the inspection team of the Ministry of Education and Training , Ha Giang also established a mobile inspection team and 32 inspection teams for exam supervision. At the same time, the force was arranged to organize the work of ensuring security and order; the exam questions and papers were kept absolutely confidential.

During the exam, the volunteers' sense of responsibility became a beautiful image. At 32 exam sites, over 1,000 volunteers were on duty to distribute free drinking water, snacks, and school supplies. Notably, during the 2 exam days, the 3-ready team of the Ha Giang Provincial Police Youth Union supported 2 candidates who overslept to the exam site on time, and promptly helped 2 candidates who forgot their ID cards. This contributed to the smooth organization of the exam, helping the candidates get closer to their dreams.

Not only the youth union members, but also the entire community are looking forward to the high school graduation exam, especially for candidates with difficult circumstances. Being welcomed like family, given free accommodation, and even free meals are a source of motivation for candidates to feel more secure and confident in the exam.
According to regulations, to be considered for graduation recognition, candidates must complete 4 exams including: Literature, Math, Foreign Language; a combined exam of Natural Sciences including the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or a combined exam of Social Sciences including the subjects: History, Geography, Civic Education. After 2 days of exams, most candidates commented that although the structure and format of the exam remained unchanged, there were many questions that were suggestive and developed students' abilities.

After 2 days of June 27-28, the 2024 High School Graduation Exam in the province was successfully organized, ensuring safety and seriousness, with no cases of invigilators or candidates violating exam regulations. The rate of candidates taking the exam reached over 99.5%, and no candidate had to drop out due to difficulties.
The success of the exam also affirms the responsible participation of the entire political system. The exam results are expected to be announced at 8:00 a.m. on July 17, instead of the announcement time of 0:00 a.m. as in previous years. By July 19 at the latest, the Departments of Education and Training will complete the recognition of high school graduation. In the case of re-examination, the recognition of high school graduation will be completed by August 9 at the latest./.
