The number 1 seed of this event, Dau Khuong Duy, also scored 9 points but lost the match against Nguyen Nam Kiet and had to come in second. Head Khuong Duy is the U.14 World Champion in 2024, a tournament in which Nguyen Nam Kiet also won a bronze medal. In 2023, Khuong Duy won a gold medal, Nam Kiet won a silver medal.
