Expectations for Da Nang real estate to improve from the new resolution of the National Assembly

DNVN - The Da Nang Statistics Office expects that the new resolution issued by the National Assembly at the end of June on the development of Da Nang City, especially the establishment of a free trade zone, will increase investor interest in Da Nang real estate.

According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, real estate business services for final consumption in the city in July 2024 decreased by 37.6% compared to the same period. Although revenue from real estate business activities improved compared to the previous month, it continued to maintain a downward trend compared to the same period.

It is expected that the Da Nang real estate market will flourish after the National Assembly passed a resolution on the city's development.

The report of DKRA Real Estate Services Group (DKRA Group) on the residential real estate market in Da Nang and surrounding areas in the second quarter of 2024 also said that, in general, the real estate market in the past 3 months has not recovered evenly in all segments.

In the second quarter of 2024, the majority of the residential real estate supply in the Da Nang market and surrounding areas comes from inventory of old projects, the market has not recorded any active launches in new projects. Except for the apartment segment, the overall demand for the remaining segments has not shown any signs of a strong breakthrough.

However, according to the Da Nang Statistics Office, at the end of June, there were positive developments when the National Assembly passed a Resolution on the organization of urban government and piloted a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang City. The National Assembly also agreed to establish a Da Nang free trade zone - a model that is no longer new to the world but is the first in Vietnam.

“This positive information and positive signals from tourism will increase investors’ interest in Da Nang real estate. It is expected that in the coming time, the Da Nang real estate market will receive more positive developments,” said the Da Nang Statistics Office.

Sharing the same view, DKRA Group's report also forecasts that by the third quarter of 2024, the real estate market in Da Nang and surrounding areas will have clearer recovery prospects, depending on each specific segment, thanks to receiving many positive attractions from policies, laws, traffic infrastructure, etc.
