Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation successfully concluded their working trip to attend the High-Level Week of the 78th United Nations General Assembly, combining bilateral activities in the US and an official visit to Brazil from September 17 to 26.
During his working trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had about 70 activities in 5 cities (in the US, San Francisco, Washington DC, New York; in Brazil, São Paulo and Brasilia).
Attending the High-Level Week of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh spoke at the General Debate of the General Assembly, the Climate Ambition Summit, and the UN High-Level Conference on Pandemic Preparedness and Response.
In his speeches, the Prime Minister raised five main groups of global solutions, especially emphasizing strengthening trust, solidarity, multilateral cooperation, sustainable development, and people-centeredness. On this occasion, the Prime Minister had nearly 20 bilateral meetings with leaders of countries, international organizations, and American politicians.
Effective and substantive contributions in all aspects at multilateral forums, especially at the UN, once again demonstrate the image of Vietnam as a peace-loving, active and responsible country towards the international community. Through many important bilateral activities with the US, the Prime Minister's working trip practically and urgently implemented the contents of the comprehensive strategic partnership for peace, security and sustainable development that Vietnam and the US have just achieved.

With the view that economic-trade-investment cooperation is the foundation and "eternal engine" of the Vietnam-US comprehensive strategic partnership, during his working trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh spent all possible time promoting economic cooperation with the US.

For Brazil, the Prime Minister's visit opens up new directions in promoting cooperative relations, deepening the comprehensive partnership, especially economic, trade and investment cooperation.
In particular, Brazil has the potential to be a gateway for Vietnam to penetrate Latin American markets, while Vietnam is the door for Brazil to enter ASEAN and Asian countries, hoping to connect trade between the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) and ASEAN.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the signing of the FTA between Vietnam and MERCOSUR will create a breakthrough in economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Brazil. President Lula da Silva expressed his intention to discuss this issue with other MERCOSUR partners during Brazil's tenure as MERCOSUR's rotating chairmanship.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working trip conveyed the great message of the Party, State and Government of Vietnam to the US, Brazil and international friends about a peaceful, cooperative and integrated Vietnam, participating more actively, proactively and effectively in international processes, making important contributions to the Vietnam - UN, Vietnam - US, Vietnam - Brazil relations according to the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress.
