Bank interest rates on April 17: Banks still maintain interest rates from 6%

On April 17, the financial market recorded many more banks adjusting their deposit interest rates lower.

- GPBank has reduced interest rates for terms from 12 to 36 months to below 6%/year. Specifically, the 12-month term has decreased from 6.05% to 5.95%/year, while the 13-36 month terms have been adjusted sharply to 5.95%/year, 0.2 percentage points lower than before.

- OCB also made a sharp reduction in interest rates for both over-the-counter and online deposits. Specifically, the 6-11 month term is listed at 4.6%/year, the 12-15 month term is 4.7%/year, the 18 month term is 4.8%/year, and the 21-24 month term is sharply reduced to 4.85%/year. Notably, the 36 month term is reduced by 1.05 percentage points, to only 4.75%/year.

With GPBank withdrawing from the leading group, there are only 4 banks still maintaining interest rates from 6%/year.

- BVBank applies 6.1%/year for 60-month term and 6.0%/year for 48-month term.

- Viet A Bank maintains 6.0%/year for 36-month term.

- HDBank maintains 6.0%/year for 18-month term.

- VikkiBank applies a rate of 6.0%/year for 13-month online savings term.
