On the morning of July 3, Mr. Nguyen Van Dan - Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Transport said that an accident occurred on the Nha Trang - Cam Lam highway, killing 2 people and injuring 6 others.
Accordingly, at 4:45 a.m. the same day, on the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway, km 9, through Dien Khanh district (Khanh Hoa), a passenger bus with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate carrying 41 people in the South - North direction suddenly crashed into a truck traveling in the same direction ahead.
The strong collision caused the front of the bus to be deformed. Many passengers panicked and screamed, trying to escape.
The accident left 2 people dead on the spot and 6 injured people taken to the emergency room.
It is known that the passenger bus carrying a volunteer group from Ho Chi Minh City to Quang Ngai had an accident when it arrived at the above location.
Currently, authorities are investigating the accident.
Previously, on the morning of June 24, also on this highway, an accident occurred between a container truck and a car, killing 2 people and injuring 3 others.
The Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway is over 49 km long, started in September 2021, with a total cost of over 7,600 billion VND, with 4 lanes in the first phase, then it will be upgraded to 6 lanes including two emergency lanes. The starting point of the project is in Dien Tho commune, Dien Khanh district, the end point is in Cam Thinh Tay commune, Cam Ranh city. The route was opened to traffic more than a month ago, but was only inaugurated on June 18, along with the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway.
