Specifically, the Department of Drug Administration ( Ministry of Health ) issued an official dispatch to recall the product batch Hanayuki Conditioner - 300g bottle, on the label is written: Receipt number of declaration form: 794/24/CBMP-DN, batch number: 0010125, Manufacturing date: 050125, Expiry date: 040127.

The product is marketed by VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited (HCMC) and manufactured by EBC Group Company Limited (Giang Dien Industrial Park, Dong Nai).

According to information on the National Business Registration Portal, EBC Dong Nai Factory Joint Stock Company was converted from EBC Group Company Limited.

Cosmetic samples were taken by the Ho Chi Minh City Drug Testing Institute at EBC Dong Nai Company for quality testing.

The results found that it contained 2-phenoxyethanol, which is not included in the published product formulation ingredients.

Therefore, to ensure the safety and interests of consumers, the Drug Administration has decided to suspend circulation and recall the above product batch nationwide. The two companies are responsible for sending a recall report to the department before June 15.

In addition, the Drug Administration also requested the temporary suspension of cosmetic production and trading activities for two companies. The reason is that out of 8 tested product samples, 3 consecutive samples violated quality.

Specifically, 2 violating samples contained 2-phenoxyethanol, of which 1 sample did not meet microbiological quality standards and 1 sample had a sun protection factor (SPF) much lower than the index stated on the product label.

For health departments, the Department requests to notify businesses and cosmetic users in the area to immediately stop trading and using the mentioned Hanayuki Conditioner product batch; inspect and supervise units implementing this notice; handle violating units according to current regulations.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and Dong Nai Province Department of Health are responsible for supervising the two companies in recalling the above batch of Hanayuki Conditioner products. Recall the cosmetic product declaration receipt number 794/24/CBMP-DN.

The Department requests that units urgently implement the contents of the previous dispatches. Units shall handle and punish violations according to current regulations, transfer the case files to the police for investigation, clarification and handling according to their authority.

According to research, VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited is the legal entity behind the Hanayuki cosmetics brand. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu - singer Doan Di Bang's husband - is the legal representative and general director of the company.

Recently, Doan Di Bang has also become a "brand face" to bring products to the market.

Previously, on May 7 and May 16, the Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health ) issued a decision to suspend circulation, recall and destroy the entire batch of Hanayuki Shampoo (300g bottle). The reason is that the test results showed that the product sample violated the microbial limit and contained 2-phenoxyethanol - an ingredient not included in the registered formula.

Hanayuki Sunscreen Body product has a sun protection factor on the label of SPF 50 but the test result is SPF 2.4.
