Lam Dong plans investment promotion program to prepare for 3 provinces to "become one"

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just planned the investment promotion program for 2026. The goal is to exploit and make the most of available potential and advantages to attract investment and develop the local socio -economy according to the socio-economic development goals of the new Lam Dong province and in accordance with the development policies and orientations of the Government and Lam Dong province in each period.

Accordingly, Lam Dong will proactively develop an investment promotion program after the merger (Binh Thuan, Dak Nong), linked to the development strategy of the expanded Central Highlands. The planning needs to integrate spaces for cultural development, tourism , ecological urban areas and creative industries.

Lam Dong will focus on strongly developing the private economy, considering it the most important driving force of the economy; at the same time, strongly developing the local innovation and startup ecosystem. After merging with Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces, Lam Dong will focus on forming economic corridors - sea tourism - plateau - border.

In particular, Lam Dong province will mobilize resources to soon implement important traffic projects and works of inter-regional connectivity to promote trade such as National Highway 27, National Highway 28, National Highway 55, Nha Trang - Da Lat Expressway, etc.; propose additional planning, as a basis for calling for investment in the expressway connecting Binh Thuan, Lam Dong, Dak Nong to ensure smooth and fast connection between the economic and cultural centers of the new Lam Dong province after the merger.

At the same time, coordinate with the Ministry of Construction to upgrade Lien Khuong airport from 4D to 4E standards and continue to restore and increase the frequency of some flights at Lien Khuong Airport and promote the opening of some new international flights to/from Lam Dong (such as Singapore, China, Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan...).

Lam Dong province will call for investment to restore the Thap Cham - Da Lat railway line under the PPP model and upgrade Da Lat station according to the plan; promote the development of green - clean transportation, currently (calling for investment to develop and expand the public passenger network by buses, taxis, and electric tourist cars using clean energy); complete procedures to attract investment in projects to build dry ports in Duc Trong district and passenger bus stations, cargo parking lots combined with logistics centers, creating conditions for the development of multimodal transportation...
