Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Politburo member and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee Phan Đình Trạc; leaders of Lâm Đồng province and representatives of relevant departments and agencies.

Ham Thuan Bac commune was one of the localities severely affected by successive floods in late October, early November, and early December. According to statistics, the floods submerged more than 200 houses in the commune, including 6 that completely collapsed, seriously impacting the lives of the local people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam said that, in response to the spirit of the Quang Trung Campaign, Lam Dong province continues to build houses for households severely affected by natural disasters. This is not only about overcoming the immediate consequences, but also about creating a foundation for people to quickly restore production, stabilize their lives, strengthen solidarity, and overcome difficulties together after the natural disaster.

The Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee requested that agencies and units assigned the task of supporting the construction of housing for the people implement the project with urgency, ensuring the progress and quality of the construction; striving to complete it no later than January 2026, helping people to have stable housing before the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
At the ceremony, Phan Dinh Trac, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee, and provincial leaders presented symbolic checks to support the construction of houses for six households whose homes were completely destroyed, with each household receiving 120 million VND; they also presented 30 gifts to encourage and share the difficulties with families affected by the floods.
