Lam Dong trains in organic Robusta coffee production

(LĐ online) - On June 1 and 2, the Lam Dong Provincial Agricultural Extension Center organized a training course to disseminate standards and regulations in organic agricultural production in Vietnam; and trained organic Robusta coffee production processes for organic coffee farmers in Di Linh district.
During the training, the Lam Dong Provincial Agricultural Extension Center informed the training class about issues such as: the situation of organic farming in Vietnam and the world ; benefits of organic farming; some principles of organic farming; requirements for inputs of organic agricultural production; orientation for organic agricultural development in Lam Dong province; how to manage land and water in organic agricultural production; general regulations on harvesting, processing, packaging, labeling, preserving and transporting organic products; organic certification standards and policies...
After the training, organic coffee farmers were equipped with more knowledge and useful experience in organic coffee production methods. At the same time, it contributed to changing the mindset of people in coffee cultivation from traditional production to developing agricultural production in the direction of organic production. This is a sustainable direction for the development of the coffee industry in Lam Dong province in the coming time.
