In Vietnam, the ban on smoking in public places was officially regulated from May 1, 2013, when the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms came into effect. However, the implementation of the provisions of this law is not yet serious, there is a lack of supervision mechanism, and the handling of violators is not strict.
The plan to build a model of "Smoke-free tourist destination" of Lam Dong province's tourism industry will contribute to improving the quality of tourism services, making them increasingly civilized, modern and safe.
Currently, Lam Dong province has 99 tourist areas, attractions and sightseeing spots, of which 30 have been recognized by competent authorities (including 2 national tourist areas, 4 provincial tourist areas and 24 tourist spots) and Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark.

To diversify tourism types and meet the needs of domestic tourists, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province is also advising the Provincial People's Committee to develop a project to develop the night-time economy in the area; approve the master plan for the construction of Mui Ne National Tourism Area until 2040, with a vision to 2050; issue a plan to implement the project to develop community tourism in Lam Dong province...
