Man Thi - the little student who made the whole studio cry
Pham Le Man Thi (2011) is currently a 9th grade student at My Luong Primary and Secondary School, An Huu Commune, Dong Thap Province. Man Thi's father died in 2015 due to a traffic accident. Two years later, her mother went to work far away and had a new family, leaving four siblings without a complete home.
Due to difficult circumstances, the eldest brother Pham Le Man Dat (2008) had to drop out of school and go to Ho Chi Minh City to work as a waiter at a coffee shop. With an income of about 5 million VND per month, Dat has to cover living expenses and save money to learn to drive, hoping to have a more stable job. The second brother Pham Le Man Nguyen (2010) is studying in grade 10 at Hoa Khanh Vocational Technical College. The youngest brother Pham Le Nhut Truong (2014) is in grade 6 at the same school as Man Thi.

The two sisters Man Thi always strive to excel in their studies, despite many difficulties in life.
Currently, the four brothers live with their grandparents and aunt. The grandparents are both over 70 years old, in poor health, and have many old-age diseases. Their aunt, Pham Thi Tho, who is raising the children, is a single woman after divorce and is raising an 8th grade son. Out of pity for her elderly parents and orphaned grandchildren, Ms. Tho brought them to live with her for convenience.
Ms. Tho works as a plum wrapper, earning about 250,000 - 300,000 VND/day, but it is not stable because the work is seasonal. In addition, she also weeds and grows fruit trees in a small garden to earn extra income.
Every month, Man Thi and Truong receive 750,000 VND in orphanage allowance. After school, Man Thi helps her aunt with the plums, weeding the garden, and doing housework. Despite her difficult circumstances, she is always good and studious, and has been an excellent student for many years. Man Thi's dream is to become a geography teacher so she can earn money to help her aunt take care of the family.
Witnessing Man Thi's situation, singer Phuong Trinh Jolie could not hold back her tears out of sympathy. She shared: “Thi's situation is very similar to mine. Since I was little, my parents sent me to my aunt to raise because my mother worked far away. Every year, I tried to study really hard to get a certificate of merit and a few blank notebooks to bring home to school. Seeing Thi, I felt like I saw myself 37 years ago. I understand the situation of Ms. Tho - a woman who had to shoulder the responsibility of raising her biological child and four orphaned children. I myself have family support but still find it difficult, so I admire her determination and love even more.”

Singer Quach Tuan Du kindly encouraged Man Thi, motivating her to continue trying to study to fulfill her dream.
MC Duong Hong Phuc expressed his respect for the woman who sacrificed her whole life for her children and grandchildren, and did not give up despite the hardships. He sent a message to Man Thi's mother, hoping she would take the time to visit her children, care for them, and look after them so that they would no longer suffer from the lack of a mother's love.
Along with the feeling of pity mixed with admiration for the image of Ms. Tho as a hard-working woman, singer Quach Tuan Du also worried about her health. The male singer decided to support the entire cost of a general health check-up so that she can feel secure and have enough health to take care of her family.

Despite the lack of money, the three sisters always study hard, reuse old books and notebooks awarded from school and receive certificates of merit every year. As the eldest sister, Tuyet Mai not only studies well but also helps her mother with housework and takes care of her younger siblings. She keeps her dream of becoming a doctor a secret because she knows her family is very poor, but she always tries hard to study with the hope that one day she can help her mother reduce her hardship. All three sisters miss their father and often burn incense to pray for him to bless their mother with good health and for their children to study well.

To me, a mother's love for her child is always immense and sacred,” the singer shared, choking up.
