Director of Y Thanh Tam General Clinic in Dong Nai was prosecuted for forging documents

On August 25, the Investigation Police Agency, Long Thanh District Police, Dong Nai Province initiated a case and prosecuted Phan Ho Hoang Phuc (born in 1994, residing in Hamlet 2, Long An Commune) - Director of Y Thanh Tam General Clinic (address: Long Phuoc Commune, Long Thanh District) for the act of falsifying documents of agencies and organizations.

Previously, after receiving feedback from a number of businesses about employees being issued inappropriate leave certificates to receive social insurance, in June 2022, the Dong Nai Department of Health Inspectorate inspected and determined that the place that issued the leave certificates was Y Thanh Tam General Clinic.

During the inspection of the clinic, the Health Department Inspector discovered that there were many certificates of leave of absence for social insurance benefits with the names of many doctors listed but not signed.

The Department of Health has requested the clinic to cease operations and revoke the medical examination and treatment license of the Y Thanh Tam General Clinic. At the same time, the case has been transferred to the police according to the law.

Regarding social insurance fraud, on May 30, Bien Hoa City Police ( Dong Nai ) simultaneously searched 8 locations of 6 clinics, confiscating related papers, documents and machines.

During the search, the police seized hundreds of thousands of social insurance sick leave certificates, health examination certificates (with fake results and no information about the examinee) and many machines and documents related to medical examination and treatment activities at the clinics.

Bien Hoa City Police have summoned more than 30 people involved in making fake documents for verification and clarification.

Initially, the police determined that in addition to examining and treating patients every day, the clinics also bought and sold fake documents such as social insurance leave certificates and health examination certificates to sell to employees, mainly workers in companies.

In addition to buying and selling social insurance leave certificates, clinics also prepare documents to settle health insurance payments.

Bien Hoa City Police have prosecuted 19 defendants, including 5 doctors of the above clinics.
