Clarifying the case of beating a drinking friend into a coma for more than 2 months in Binh Thanh District

On November 2, the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Thanh District Police said that they are handling and investigating a case of intentional injury that occurred in the area, seriously injuring one person.

Accordingly, at around 6:30 p.m. on August 23, Mr. Pham Ngoc Hung and some drinking friends took a white 5-seat Hyundai Grand i10 car, driven by a male driver (unknown background) from 583 Su Van Hanh (Ward 10, District 10) to 214 QL13 (Ward 26, Binh Thanh District).

When arriving at the intersection of Nguyen Xi - Dinh Bo Linh Street (Binh Thanh District), because the passengers on the bus (including Mr. Hung) had a conflict and fought, the male driver pulled the bus over to the side of the road and dropped off the passengers.

According to the police, after the incident, Mr. Hung was seriously injured and had to be hospitalized in an unconscious state. More than 2 months have passed, and the victim is still in a coma, with no signs of recovery.
