Ms. Nguyen Yen Linh - daughter of billionaire Nguyen Dang Quang (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Masan Group Corporation) has just reported to the Securities Commission about the results of recent stock transactions.

According to the report, Ms. Linh completed the purchase of nearly 8.5 million MSN shares of Masan from October 29 to November 18 through order matching and negotiation transactions.

Previously, billionaire Nguyen Dang Quang's daughter registered to buy 10 million shares. However, in reality, she was only able to buy 85% of the registered shares. The reason given by Ms. Linh was "no agreement was reached".

After the above deal, Ms. Linh increased her ownership ratio from 0% to 0.59%.

Recently, MSN stock prices have tended to adjust according to the general fluctuations of the VN-Index. At the same time, this is also one of the stocks that foreign investors have sold the most.

On October 28, MSN's market price was at 77,900 VND, but by November 18, it had dropped to 70,300 VND.

Thus, if calculated on average at the area of 75,000 VND/share during the time Ms. Linh made the transaction, it is estimated that the amount of money spent to buy the above shares was about more than 600 billion VND.

According to information attached to the report, billionaire Nguyen Dang Quang currently directly holds only 18 MSN shares. Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen - Mr. Quang's wife holds nearly 50.9 million MSN shares, equivalent to 3.54% of Masan's capital.

Mr. Quang's daughter traded Masan shares for the first time in the context that SK Group - a Korean corporation - successfully transferred 76 million MSN shares of Masan Group through negotiation.

SK Group is no longer a major shareholder in Masan after the above transaction. The group's recent announcement did not mention the buyer of the SK Group shares sold.

Masan said only that the transaction was led by large institutional investors with long-term investment horizons based in Asia, Europe and the United States.

"This is one of the notable transactions for stocks that have not reached the foreign ownership limit (non-FOL) in Vietnam," Masan said.
